Logistics Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
- Plan and implement the company’s supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance throughout the supply chain network.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers and distribution centers
- Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
- Evaluate and report on KPIs.
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
- Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks).
- Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents).
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.

Procurement Responsibilities
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Ensure sourcing good quality within reasonable cost.
- Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary.
- Maintains and/or implements purchasing and recordkeeping systems.
- Manage indirect procurement, including the purchasing of goods, services, supplies, and materials needed for daily operations.
- Maintaining good relationships and rapport with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.
